PROM
Come out to our Hoedown 50’s theme “Prom” on 6/19 6:30-10pm. Who doesn’t love an excuse to dress up?Come sway under the stars, drink punch and dance your favorite line dances and swing songs. DJ Bryan will be playing all your faves! Who will you nominate to be your Prom King and Queen?

Come try your shot at winning up to $200 CASH & weekend passes to Dance Conventions around CA in this dance competition and raise money for The Betty Fund!
TWO EVENTS: TWO COMPETITIONS
ONE FLOOR
This competition is like nothing you have ever seen before. Participants will use their stamina to try to be the last one standing and win our first place prize.
2nd and 3rd prizes will be awarded as well.

THEME: Backyard Hoedown - YEEHAW! Cut offs, plaid, boots, etc
Rules:
1. Once the competition begins, you must stay on the dance floor and dance the ENTIRE time. If you leave the dance floor you are out.
2. There are 2 FLOORS, 2 Dance styles. One floor is for line dancing ONLY and the other floor is for Country Swing Dancing ONLY. No West Coast or two step but some bar coast is permitted if space calls for it. When we say dance the entire time, we mean it. If you stop dancing (even as a song begins, even for one second) you are out. If you are dancing off tempo at any point, you will be disqualified.
3. LINE DANCERS: You may dance one of the three alternative line dances for those who don’t know a specific line dance: Copperhead Road “the fast version” or the “bouncy version” to tempo or Payaso De Rodeo (these will be up on our IG before the event and we will show them at the event at 7:15pm sharp).
4. If you inhibit anyone else from dancing you will be promptly disqualified. If you are swing dancing and you run your partner into someone, you will be disqualified.
5. COUNTRY SWING - you may swap partners between dances. If your partner stops dancing, both of you will be DQ’d. Pick your partner wisely. SWITCHES (swapping from leading to following) during dances is allowed. You may start with one partner and keep the same partner or swap between songs as long as you’d like.
6. If you argue with the "refs/judges" you will be escorted out and will not be able to attend a future event with Dance 'Til You Drop. Remember this is a fun event to raise money for charity!
**Boots are not required this time around (although encouraged per the theme!)**

WHERE: Vista, CA (address will be available upon ticket purchase - this is a rented *secret* location)

F.A.Q.
1. Do I have to be 21?
No. Comp is ALL AGES (with parent signed consent for those under 18).
2. What if I don’t know the line dance ?
You can either do the alternative line dances listed above to tempo.
3. Do I have to wear boots? Nope!
4.Parking? Free parking onsite!
5.Any other fees? Nope!
6.Can I just watch? YES! Come hang out and dance in between and when the comps are over! Entrance fee is $10
7.What time do I need to be there? Friday, PROM night starts at 6:30pm! Come anytime until 10pm. Noise ordinance has us shutting down then.
6/20/26 Comp 1 is Country Swing - Doors open at 2pm, pre-comp meeting is 2:15pm and we start at 2:30pm SHARP.
Line dance comp starts at 5pm SHARP! Pre-comp meeting will be 4:30pm.
Getting there early is recommended.
